For your information and for those who have been living under a rock, the Colonial Theater closed after the final show of a 6-week run of The Book of Mormon on Sunday October 11th. A concerned group of us who would really like to work with Emerson's powers that be to come up with an idea and a plan to "Save the Colonial" as a working live theater of pre Broadway show performances in favor of other plans they seem to have, as the media has portrayed. In response to this, I appointed several interested members who showed overwhelming response, energy and compassion for saving America's oldest and prettiest grand theaters in the country. One of their endeavors was to write the following (attached) letter on our behalf, that was unanimously voted to proceed with from IATSE B4 members pesent at the 3rd Quarterly Meeting that was held earlier this week. Thank you to Cathy Buderwicz (Shubert) for crafting such a well written letter that I feel resonates within allof our hearts and minds. Thanks for reading it.
-Jim
