Sad News - Sister Geri Michael Hackel has passed.

HACKEL, Sondra "Geri" Of Boston, on January 30, 2016. Devoted mother of son, Peter Hackel and daughter, Jodi Talarico and her husband Stephen. Cherished grandmother of Ashley Natale, Emilee Miller, Amanda, Madison, Brooke and Olivia Hackel. Geri was a graduate of Leland Powers School of Radio, TV & Theatre before becoming staff writer for both Panorama and Playbill Magazines. Geri went on to become speech writer for lon

gtime Newton Mayor Theadore "Teddy" Mann and was the first female Constable in the State of Massachusetts. Geri's rich legacy includes her work with the Newton PTA, Temple Beth Avodah Sisterhood, BARC, Boston's Theatre community, the homeless as well as her tenure as President of City-Wide Friends of the Boston Public Library. Geri was a vibrant and colorful longtime resident of the North End and Boston Waterfront community. Services are private. Memorial observance at the home of Peter Hackel, Monday, February 1, 2016 from 5-9pm.
